Konrad Haller
Konrad Haller is writer, director and designer, working across film, television, theatre, and radio. Born in Canada and of German and Irish heritage, he studied in London and holds an MA in film development and production from Goldsmith’s College.

Writing and directing credits include commissions for BBC Drama, Radio 4, BBC Films, Calipo, Jagriti Theatre Bangalore and others. He was winner of the BBC Double Exposure screenwriting competition, and the BBC First Words radio drama scheme. His first script, Bull Epic, was nominated for the Society of Authors’ Imison Award, and his Classic Serial Barry Lyndon was nominated for a Sony. In 2002 he was winner of the Bill Miskelly Award (NI Screen). Notable films include The Wayfarer, winner of the BBC Northern Lights competition, and Warning Signs, part of the BAFTA-nominated Citizenship series.

Designs for film and television include the award-winning features Peacefire by Irish director Macdara Vallely, and Strákarnir Okkar by Icelandic-Irish film maker Robert Ingvar Douglas, and TV commercials for major international clients, including Kia Motors Corporation, BT, and Champion Sports.



Ryan Orr
Ryan Orr is a cinematographer and editor from Northern Ireland. He holds a BA in Film Studies and an MSc in Software Development from Queen’s University Belfast.

He has worked on short films, frequently collaborating with writer and director Konrad Haller. He has edited the film Invisible, and shot and edited the films 4 Winds and Quiet. In addition to short films he has produced commercial and promotional content for individual clients and major arts organisations such as Lyric Theatre, Tinderbox and Big Telly Theatre Company. He has also created video content for live performances and art installations.


Simon Wood
Simon Wood is a producer and filmmaker originally from Bedford, now based in Belfast, where he is a director of production company Journeyfor.

He was a founder member of Northern Visions where he has served as chairperson for many years. In 1992 he set up Banter productions. He has worked on projects for BBC, Channel 4, RTE, regional ITV networks and NI Screen, encompassing documentaries, dramas and community projects.

His current work for Journeyfor is chiefly in the commercial and corporate sectors, involving branding, TV commercials, advocacy films and dramas.


Michael McCourt
Michael McCourt is a filmmaker and producer from Belfast. He got his start as a technician and production assistant at the Rainbow Factory Theatre before working as a freelance Audio-Visual Technician.

He recently wrote and directed the experimental horror short A Wolf at the Door and is currently in preproduction on another experimental piece, The Fairfax Family Dog. Works in development include the screenplay Ford Nation, a political comedy-drama, and the existential comedy, Francie Who is Older Than He Looks.

Outside of film, Michael has work in music promotion, under his own banner Paintwork Presents and with Strange Victory Presents, promoting artists such as Jarvis Cocker, THEE OH SEES and Angel Olsen, and is producer of the online radio show, Into the Groovey. He regularly posts on Living Too Late, the experimental film blog, and has also been a regular contributor to Northern Ireland Film Network’s Banterflix, including several appearances on the Banterflix podcast and TV show.
